About This Listing

Gretsch's G5422G-12 Electromatic Classic Hollow Body Double-Cut 12-String is sure to impress even the most discerning Gretsch fans with its lush, full-bodied voice, eye-catching gold hardware, and vintage-inspired aesthetic. With a few tweaks and upgrades, Gretsch has taken the G5422G-12 to a new level of professionalism and value.

Featuring a laminated maple body with vintage-inspired perimeters and refined arches, the G5422G-12 has the familiar feel of a classic Gretsch and projects a robust tone with sparkling highs. New to the G5422G-12 is a trestle center block that not only reduces unwanted feedback in louder performance settings but also adds attack, snap, and sustain to your notes by increasing contact between the top and back of the body. The G5422G-12 also sports a redesigned Classic "C" shaped maple neck with a 12" radius laurel fingerboard for extra playing comfort.

Gretsch's G5422G-12 Electromatic Classic comes equipped with dual FT-5E Filter'Tron pickups that perfectly capture its naturally chiming and jangly voice. Pushed to their limit, these pickups give the G5422G-12 plenty of punch and bite with exceptional presence and note clarity. Don't be fooled, though - these pickups excel when dimed back, churning out warm, thick, syrupy-smooth tones that'll take your ears to sonic heaven. Experiment with the upgraded controls that include a master volume with a treble bleed circuit, a master tone, individual pickup volume controls, and a three-position tone switch, and you'll unlock a wealth of excellent sounds for maximum creative expression.

Spec'd out with a late '50s G6120 bound headstock, sealed die-cast tuning machines, a secured Adjusto-Matic bridge, and a Gretsch G-cutout tailpiece, Gretsch's G5422G-12 Electromatic Classic Hollow Body Double-Cut 12-String perfectly blends vintage designs with modern performance features.
