Getzen Eterna 'Doc' Severinsen
Bought at Radio City Music Hall New York, New York, for $425 U.S.D. in 1968 Prior to buying the Getzen 'Doc' Severinsen trumpet I could never hit high F, and with the Getzen 'Doc' Severinsen trumpet I could hit a high F regularly....a big fat sound even at high F.
I played this trumpet at Carnegie Hall, N.Y. N.Y., Massey Hall in Toronto, and numerous concert halls throughout the U.S. and Canada with the 40 member Music For Young Americans Ensemble, sponsored by Chrysler Corp. and Bob Hope. Our group received standing ovations wherever we played, and as a trumpet soloist I too received standing ovations.
In my twenties I played as a fill-in trumpet player with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra.
So, this trumpet was the most magnificent horn I have ever played. It will do the same wonders for any professional trumpet player, or would dramatically improve the playing skills of an amateur trumpet player.
Reason for selling is my elderly age and I have dentures which severely and negatively changes embouchure.
