Hi Everyone,
Up for sale is a USA made Rocktron Chameleon preamp/multi-effects unit.
QUESTION: Do great guitar tones have an "expiration date?" I don't think so. If something sounds good--it's good. Allow me to introduce a very good friend of mine, The Rocktron Chameleon.
Back in the day, the Chameleon and Voodu Valve models were making quite the noise in the guitar world. Guitar wiz Gary Hoey even used a Chameleon on the "Endless Summer II Soundtrack" exclusively----and they recorded the whole thing in 12 days. Not bad....
I've owned all versions of the Chameleon and Voodu Valve. The differences are pretty minor. The Voodu's have the 12AX7 tube for more "warmth", but a live volumes, I doubt anyone can tell. Chameleons have a bit more 'grind' to my ears in higher gain settings.
Loaded with features: high gain/low gain presets, HUSH technology, tons of eq options, chorus, flanger, delay, reverb, chorus, phaser, wah, cabinet & speaker simulator etc. If you need a flexible and portable rig with some very serious tone options, or if you are not quite ready to jump on the Fractal/Kemper bandwagon, but want to get into multi-effects/preamps, the Chameleon is a fantastic way to go.
Great shape for her age. Made in the USA!! No issues, dead quiet operation, no scratch pots, and the LED readout is clear as a bell. Power supply IS INCLUDED! Some minor rack rash (mostly on the bottom corner--see the next to the last picture), but no bent rack ears, etc. The plastic mini knobs have a tendency to fall off and go into the same invisible vortex that guitar picks do, so I'll throw in a few extras for free.
Dig in, crank up, and let it rip with this very underrated and killer piece of Rocktron workmanship.
Got Questions?? Drop me a line!! Check my other items too---I add new stuff just about everyday.
