Harmony Tenor Guitar. This is a Harmony H1201, which I believe makes it the 4 string tenor guitar version of the H1203 Sovereign 6-string. These all-solid wood tenor guitars were made in the USA from the 1960s into the early 1970s.

Solid spruce top. Solid mahogany back and sides. Mahogany neck. Black fretboard and bridge -- could be ebony or other ebonized hardwood. Top and back and fretboard all with white binding, which is in great shape.

The nut is a hair over 1.25", and the bass-to-treble spacing at the nut is exactly 1". String spacing at the saddle is 1 7/16". Scale length is 23".

Currently tuned GDAE like an octave mandolin. Strung with the A, D, G, and high E strings from a Martin Silk and Steel light set. The sound would be richer with light gauge phosphor-bronze strings, but I like the feel of the silk and steel strings.

Comes in Guild hard case with built-in humidifier. Case fits perfectly.

No structural defects. I reamed the bridge pin holes so the pins fit well. The picture focusing on the bridge shows their current state, whereas some of the other pictures show pins sticking up--that is now fixed. Tuning stability is solid. There are a few minor cosmetic blemishes--nicks/bumps and light scratches. No cracks. In great shape for a 50 year old guitar.

Short sound sample after the pictures. Please forgive the playing quality--I haven't played in GDAE for quite a while.

Neck is straight and there is appropriate relief under string tension as you would want--no buzzes, and not hard to fret in the middle of the neck. The action is very comfortable for me. However, the saddle could be taken down a bit if you prefer lower action.

Local pickup possible in western Washington state. Shipping via UPS to continental US. Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, and Canada for slightly more. Please message me with any questions or if there is something specific you want to see pictured.
