Custom Fender Stratocaster Gilmour Inspired "69 Black Strat" Abby CS69 Pups

This is a custom Fender Stratocaster build by E11even Guitars. This one is for all of you Gilmour fanatics who want a replica of the Black Strat as it was stock when he first got it and is heard on Meddle, Dark Side and the famous Pompeii performance - before all of the mods. It can just as well be for all of you Hendrix fans as this is a tribute to the 69 Strat.

The body is a new genuine Fender Classic 60s finished in gloss Black poly over Alder. It is fitted with a new Fender Parchment 3 ply pickguard and matching pickup covers, knobs and 1 ply tremolo cover, chrome hardware and a vintage wide spaced Fender big block tremolo.

The pickguard assembly consists of genuine Fender Custom Shop 69 pickups initialled and dated by the one and only Abigail Ybarra. These Abby CS69s are now rare and increasingly harder to come by as she retired in 2013. The electronics are CTS 250K pots with a .047uf Orange Drop tone capacitor, CRL 3 way switch wired to a Switchcraft jack using Gavitt push back wire. The wiring is vintage correct.

The neck is a new genuine Fender Classic 70s with the large CBS headstock and logo. It features a 7.25" fretboard radius, 21 vintage frets, U shaped rear contour, Bullet trussrod adjustment and a Fender factory synthetic bone nut and gloss poly finish. The frets have been leveled, crowned and polished. It is fitted with a new set of period correct Fender F logo chrome tuners and a Kluson string tree.

The guitar is strung with a set of GHS Boomers David Gilmour Signature Series 10-48 gauge strings with the tremolo setup traditional floating. It weighs 7.6 lbs and includes the new Fender Deluxe gigbag shown. Shipping will be via UPS ground and will require a signature for delivery.
