España Classical Guitar - 1970’s Made in Finland 🇫🇮! - Killer Songwriter! - Big Beautiful Chords!

This guitar has some beautiful charm and sparkle all the way from 1960's Finland! Great songwriter with beautiful complexity to the tone in the big open chords. It's nicely broken in and feels like putting on an old denim jacket that someone wore everyday. 

I'm a huge fan of the European world of guitars and specifically I love the ones that come out of Sweden and Finland. They're totally unlike anything else, they have their own sound and feel. They record perfectly and always shine nicely in the track. I've been recording with an old Goya from Sweden for years, and this España is really similar to that one. A lot of classic recordings were made with these guitars and I've never really felt they totally got the credit they're due. Bowie, The Stones, Stevie Nicks, Joni Mitchell, and countless other legends have all used guitars from the Swedish/Finnish Levin guitar universe like this one. You've heard them before jangling around on tons of classic music from the 60's on up. 

So this one has obviously been around the block a bit, but it's definitely a rugged guitar and still has some awesome fight left in it. All the European clear coats from back in the day all crack and craze in unpredictable spiderweb patterns, I always thought they look super cool and no two are totally alike. I put on a new bone saddle, and it plays and sounds awesome in the songwriter chord position. It gets a little tough as you advance up the neck but it's still manageable. I would recommend this guitar as an open chord songwriter or a broad stroke ideas kind of guitar more than a shredder, the vibe is definitely more Michael Nesmith way more than Steve Howe haha. It sounds great and I was totally lost in playing it after I set it up. It's a totally awesome instrument with some killer vintage vibes. There's some aesthetic condition things basically throughout the guitar, so get this one if you want a played in guitar with some awesome vibes that's been a working instrument it's whole life. Lovely guitar!
