Welcome bidders. This is the 2013 Gibson USA Les Paul Signature Tribute Electric Guitar. 24.75" scale. 1 11/16" nut width. 9.8 lbs. Limited to a total of 400 pieces in total. The serial number is from 2012, making this an early part of the run. This beauty is a tribute to the life of the iconic Les Paul- inventor, musician, and pioneer. Aside from being a virtuoso musician, Les Paul invented multi-track recording, as well as a number of advances in the music world, including, arguably, the first solid body guitar, dubbed 'The Log'. This signature model has everything we love about the original 52, with some cool additions. Starting off with a non-weight relieved mahogany body/maple top- this has that famous Les Paul midrange push with a sweet bottom end. Dual P90 pickups grab up that resonance and add in their own special mids. These pickups are the perfect compliment for this guitar. The overdriven sustain is just unparalleled. The bridge P90 has a thick tone with biting mids and a sustain longer than most guitar's neck pickups. Flipping over to the neck P90, you'll experience some of the thickest, seeminly endless, sustain you've ever heard. Roll back the tone controls and some incredible 'jazzy' neck position cleans are right there. Absolute tone machine. The neck here is a 50's chunky profile- .88" deep at the 5th fret. This offers great tone transfer- a big part of the singing sustain here. The icing on the cake is Les Paul's own bridge design, which was never used on the original '52, has been instituted here. This design allows for lower action and all the sustain of the original. Gorgeous. The look here is fantastic- Gold Bullion finish, single ply body binding, bound fingerboard, trapezoid inlays. Les Paul's actual name signature on the pickguard 'Lester William Polsfuss', chrome engraved truss rod cover, and Les Paul's image lasered onto the headstock face. This is a stunner. This Tribute is in exceptional condition- nothing to report. The frets are clean- set up with action of 3/32" at the 12th fret.
