Here's a pretty rare bird. Offered is a 1993 ESP Edwards LP Gothic Superstrat. Made in Japan, serial number 18XXX (available to the buyer). Edwards is ESP's mid-market professional line for Asia/Europe and is not typically available Stateside. This guitar features a maple neck and body, slab rosewood board with classic block inlays, 3 x Hot Strat pickups similar to Schecter Monstertones, 5-way switch with master volume and two tones, Gotoh tuners and Strat hardtail, Schaller strap pegs, and the iconic open book headstock. 24.75" (628 mm) scale. Weighs ~7.6 lbs on my digital scale. Beautiful matte purple finish in great condition for its age. See detailed pics for age-appropriate cosmetic wear: tiny dings on the tip of the headstock, finish wear around the edges of the 1st fret, light scuff on the neck, top, rear, and lower bouts, and some hardware tarnishing. This is an uber cool hybrid with comfortable Superstrat contours, tone versatility, and LP sensibilities. Very resonant acoustically and cuts thru the mix nicely for both rhythm and leads. Phat jangly tones perfect for everyhing from Knopfler riffs to psychobilly to the stylized alt indie texture goth stuff.
