This listing is for a New Old Stock Charvel phenolic nutblank. This came from a lot of materials from the John Saunders bass run. John commissioned Charvel MFG to OEM bodies and necks for him in 1981. Most of the run was never used and I purchased the remains 4-5 years ago.
The blank is 2" wide, so you have plenty of material to create a nut for any width nut. The height is more than double what you need. The bottom has the radius machined into it to match the factory slot. It is the standard Fender size, so you can use it on any Fender style neck. These were used by Charvel MFG from approximately 1980-1984 on Fender style headstock guitars. This machines identically to bone, so all of your nut making tools will work on it. The only difference I have found is it is a bit more slippery feeling once smoothed. So use a fine saw to start your slots otherwise the file will just slip around.
