Crazy cool pre-war Del Oro round hole archtop parlor (~13.5" bouts) in solid m******y. All original parts except for replacement bridge. Fully bound in checker board. Outrageous plastic faux abalone fretboard and pickguard that I like to characterize as Mother of Oil Slick! Guitar is lightly built, and was dipping pretty badly under the bridge. First, three clean top cracks that can be seen in pics are tightly cleated, which helped a lot. I also had to do a little bracing work, because even with the cracks addressed there was still too much top dipping. First, the ladder brace closest the soundhole needed to be redone. Everything was a little rough where it had come loose, so I positioned it just next to its original location to get a clean fit. I also stiffened the top a little more with two short parallel braces under the bridge, between the two ladder braces. I basically extended the bracing that ran next to the soundhole. There’s still a slight dip under the bridge, but it’s now solid and stiff, but still light and responsive. It’s a big decision to make a structural alteration, but this old guitar was no longer holding up, so I really had no choice to get it playing. A little bit of a drop off of the fretboard at the body joint, but still can be played out over the body. There is very little support under the fretboard there. Neck set and angle are great, and there is just a very slight relief to the neck that does not hinder the playability. Action is ~3/32" for the high E at the 12th fret, and guitar plays and intonates well. Frets are pretty small and "vintage", though, so this might not be the axe for you if you like meaty jumbo wires. The top two tuner shafts are slightly bent - nothing serious. There is a grand total of about an inch of binding missing, under the tailpiece and along the back. Nice rag-timey tone, but not a big projector. Comes in a non-original but vintage parlor case that is functional but a bit ratty. This one will go to the head of the class in your collection of funky dime-store cool.    Sorry for the HIGH shipping and insurance estimate. That’s a maximum to the West Coast, and your amount will be substantially lower the closer you are to Ohio (I’ll refund the difference).
