1970s Maya Flying V MIJ
Howdy. Up for sale is an interesting and uncommon Maya Flying V guitar.
This guitar is a copy of a 70s style Gibson V. It was made in Japan in the mid or late 70s.
This guitar looks cool which is why I bought it. It is bolt on and has a laminate body. They did a good job getting the look right. The guitar weighs 7.25lbs.
It is in good original condition. At one time this guitar was used as some kind of display. When I got it there was some hardware screwed onto the back. I get the feeling that this was so it could be hung up on a wall. I don’t know where this was done. There is a quick fill and touch up of the screw holes in the back.
The guitar has normal nicks, dings and scratches. since it is a "shape" guitar there are some dings here and there. On some of them the paint chipped.
Otherwise the guitar plays and sounds good. It has a fairly large neck profile. An Epiphone case is included.
