Up for sale is a Ludwig vintage 16x16" 8 lug Thermogloss floor tom with the rare Chicago transition badge serial # 3103457. NOTE: This is a players drum and is priced accordingly.
An attempt to fix blemishes around the badge with wood putty is apparent as well as damage to the badge. Repairable if desired and still a pretty rare drum in very playable condition. Drum is perfectly in round and the heads float on and spin freely. Edges are in good shape and the factory badge and grommet are present. Hoops show signs of normal wear for being decades old and the bottom hoop is rougher than the top hoop (see pic). Leg mounts are factory original with double brass washers and function as they should. One leg is a bit rougher than the other two. Clear Remo ambassador on the reso side and coated ambassador on the batter side. Drum tunes up high or low with minimal effort and sounds really nice.
