For sale is electric guitar made by Mayones. KTM model.

In the 90's, it was a very popular guitar model in Poland. A well-made and thought-out superstrat. The price was also relatively attractive for Polish consumers. Their production was terminated by Mayones because they did not match the profile of the premium instruments that Mayones wanted to sell over time.

I'm a second owner. The first one said he bought it new around 2005. However, I don't know to what extent this can be confirmed. The guitar has no number. Officially, Mayones used this logo until 1999. Unofficially, in the 21st century, he still sold instruments under it on the Polish market. A friend of mine bought the same model with that logo in 2003.

Bolt-on construction. Alder body (flat) with double cutaway. Model equipped with roller saddle.

Made in Germany Schaller oil tuners.

Sycamore neck with rosewood fingerboard.

24 frets. 650 mm scale.

One-sided tremolo bridge. Unknow production.

The pickups are in S-S-H configuration with 5 position switch and Volume + Tone knobs.

Under the neck and in the midlle are original Mayones pickups. They're not labeled anywhere, but I've had a lot of their guitars with these pickups. These are typical single coils with a resistance of approx. 5 kOhm. Belly and dynamic, but rather not in vintage style.

There is some beast of an unknown manufacturer tucked under the bridge. It is a VERY solidly made pickup. His quality of workmanship is not inferior to the most famous pickups. It has approx. 15 kOhms, adjustable poles and a 4-wire cable connected in series. Typical hi-gain pickup.

This configuration provides a great deal of sonic variety.

Black color with red scropolanti (cracked earth effect on the body).

Truss rod work.

The frets are in good condition.

Instrument is technically fully operational. Low strings action. Playing it is pure pleasure. The visual condition, however, is not the best. It has a lot of scratches on the varnish and, what is worse, especially on the corners, the varnish is chipped in many places.

The second disadvantage is a slight bend of the potentiometers. They work properly, but because of this skew, the knobs don't turn perfectly straight.

Strings are for change.

Otherwise guitar is ready to play.

Selling guitar will be well packed in gigbag, wrapped foil and cardboard box.

If you live outside EU please note that you may be subject to duties and taxes in your coountry.

Feel free ask any questions.

Ps. I'm often asked if these old Mayones are of the same class as the modern ones. Honesty answer is: no! These are good instruments, but cannot be compared to those subjected to plek process and made of luxurious wood on the highest components. Translating this into illustrative examples, I will write that they are related to each other like Lexus limousines to Toyota Corolla. If you are looking for a reliable car / guitar on a reasonable budget, this is for you.
