Fender 'The Twin' Amplifier Serial number L096674. Owned and played by Eric Clapton. This was one of Eric Clapton's original Fender Twin Amplifiers and was purchased directly from his Guitar Technician by musician, songwriter and producer Peter Vale who worked with Clapton, producing Jim Capaldi's album 'Some Come Running'. The amplifier was later auctioned off for charity at Bonhams in memory of Jim Capaldi. This is a genuine piece of Clapton history with enough provenance to satisfy anyone. Please contact me for more information or to ask any more questions. I purchased this amp from Hanks/London Vintage Guitars in Denmark Street some time ago (they won the bid at Bonhams) and feel it is now time to let it go to a serious collector. There is a lot of controversy surrounding Eric Clapton right now but if you are a fan or not, this is a one off chance to own something genuinely made for and used by him. Comes with all the provenance of course and the Capaldi album (which I managed to source online), but not the guard dog in one of the pictures! I am in no rush to sell but wanted to put it out there to see what any serious collector thinks. Feel free to make a sensible offer but any buyer would have to collect this amp as there is no way I am letting it go without meeting face to face. Of course, if Eric Clapton wants it back, I might be willing to do a deal with him! May be interested in a part exchange for guitars, either Gibson or Fender related but no silly offers please. Thanks for looking.
