Slingerland Radio King 1946-48 Gold Sparkle

This Slingerland Radio King kit was formerly owned by the great NYC jazz drummer, Joe Ascione!
I bought it from Joe a few years back before he passed away.  I am reluctant to sell, but need the money and the space.

Full disclosure:  This is an old kit and was played frequently and hard.  It has some cosmetic wear-and-tear and needs a little fixing up.  There have been a few non-vintage modifications over the years - all done by Mr. Ascione himself.  There are several extra holes drilled.  A couple for a later model Ludwig tom mount.  A few for some very heavy bass drum legs, which I removed (I still have them if the buyer wants).  There is uneven fading on parts of the wrap, but it still looks great onstage with the lights shining on it!  Joe added a Gretsch throw-off to the snare. One of the bass drum tuning rods is bent, but still works.  I am selling this kit for exactly what I paid for it.  Not trying to make any profit at all.
