About This Listing

For your consideration is this vintage 1960s Tenor Uke made in Hawaii. Since not-branded, it is likely this is an amateur home-made instrument by a luthier with experience. It’s crude but in the same way most authentic Hawaiian-made Koa ukuleles typically are. It has an 18” scale length and very attractive proportions. The neck heel is very interesting and the neck is much chunkier than your average Kamaka. The exotic Koa is exceptional. Notorious Koa cracks are on the top and back, though highly normal for old Koa ukes. Sounds very good and it’s perfectly playable as-is.
