The cable has capacitance of .61 pf (picofarad per foot) which significantly improves the electrical conductivity and signal strength without distorting the sound.
- The black and white woven mesh outer jacket provides a durable protection for the cable, wire and shielding. It also minimizes kinks that are common among PVC or other rubber or plastic outer jackets. The flexibility still allows the cable to bend around tight corners on your pedalboard. - The Right-Angle Pancake style, Low-Profile connectors have tarnish proof 24K Gold Tips and Barrels to minimize electrical loss at each connection. To build our cables, we take a high quality, 20 AWG, Oxygen-Free Copper Wire and wrap it in a Polyethylene Insulator, which is then put in a PVC tube. After that, we wrap a 95% Braided Shield around it, and add on another thicker layer of PVC. To finish it off, we add a woven mesh for increased durability. The cable ends are firmly soldered onto the 1/4 inch connectors, and the pancake-style connectors clamp down on shrink-wrapped ends in order relieve strain on the soldered joints and keep the connection from budging, binding and breaking.
