Rare ADAMAS II Model 1881-NB5- #85. This is a beautiful, big sounding Guitar, belying it’s Super Shallow Body, (reminds me very much tone wise of my Old Martin D28 ) In good shape for its years, some belt wear on back of body, has had a refret at some stage and a neck reset, and as a result, really comfortable to play..! Some wear on upper side of Fretboard ( not in anyway affecting playability) Has recently been MOTed by Luthier John Conway.., Original Optima Pre Amp/ Pick-up working perfectly ( Tuner not working) Nut width is 1 11/16.., Scale length 25 1/4”. The neck is Mahogany/ Maple stripe, a few slight ‘dings’ on neck. Gold plated Tuners, Fretboard perfectly straight, lovely action after some Luthier TLC. This Babe is structurally sound .., it has had many , many years Gigging, but in perfect working condition, tone wise, playing wise acoustically or plugged in. There are no hidden issues, I can assure you that the Guitar plays and sounds way better than it might appear. Original Case in good working order, all clasps Etc! working , but the case had been used for another Ovation for a number of years and shows ‘road wear’ . Any wear, Dings, etc! on the Adamas are reflected in the Price It’s being sold for. Shipping outside Europe Negotiable
