These rare Korvettes XAM 3D speakers feature 10" woofers and 3"
paper tweeters made by Electro-Voice (so I have read, but not
confirmed). The sound is warm and smooth, with a low end that THUMPS.
There is a high end control on the back, which you will probably want to
leave all the way up. The non-removable grills are in very good
condition with brass badges, also in very good condition. As can be seen
in the photos, there are water stains on the tops of the cabinets.
Overall, a glorious "vintage" sound, which will take the harsh edge off
of digital recordings.
Each cabinet is 15"x15"x14". They are quite heavy for their size, weighing in at almost 24 lbs each. Shipping weight is 55 lbs. You can forgo shipping charges, if you'd like to pick them up in Raleigh, NC.
