This horn lived most of its life in a school, and you can tell. It’s got dings, dents, lacquer wear, obvious soldering, all the usual cosmetic damage that comes with being abused relentlessly by children for years.

Not much of a sales pitch, I know, but there’s a redemption arc coming.

Several years ago, it was given a full service with all new pads, corks, and felts, and was put into service as a loaner for a community jazz band. Luckily for you, the buyer, and rather unfortunately for the guy who put the money down for it, it barely ever got played. The band has since had a string of regular baritone players with their own horns, and it just hasn’t been needed.

The result? A somewhat ugly horn in absolutely perfect playing condition. It has an absolutely huge sound, with a rich, booming low end and a strong high end. Very even tone throughout the horn, with excellent intonation. It has the perfect sound for rock, funk, or jazz work. Would be a great horn for a beginner, doubler, or any bari player on a budget. This kind of deal on a bari sax that plays well is rare, don’t miss out!
