1964 was a stand-out year for the SG. The neck profile had increased, making it similar to the 1959 Les Paul, and the previous vibrato had been replaced with the superior maestro vibrola. Perhaps that's why both Eric Clapton and George Harrison could be found with the '64 SG in hand. So it's no wonder the Gibson Custom Shop has chosen his model for a reissue. Featuring an authentic '64 build, quality vintage specs with maestro vibrola, and unpotted Custombucker pickups, this guitar is perfect for the classic-rocker that wants to hold the spirit of that era in their hands.
