CKK Gears Vintage Compressor

GEARS is a vintage compressor. The classic compressor has never be overturned since the past 20 years, When design an excellent compressor, we must firstly understand the guitarist’s need to the compressor effect. The goal of designing Gears is , the original tone can be truly restored and naturally applied.

GEARS is based on the OTA circuit. We added a buffer signal in original signal and it can be mixed with a completely compressor signal by turning the M I X K N O B. It has the advantage that you can get full compressed sustain without losing the head of the tone, and the tone is closer to the guitar itself. If using distortion pedal after Gears in the effect chain, the tone sounds more nature.

We also set the ATTACK KNOB and VOICE SWITCH in the compressor circuit branch, The ATTACK KNOB can adjust the rising speed of the head of the tone. Also, when it is used with the M I X K N O B toghther, users can get many different feelings. The VOICE SWITCH is divided into three classes, one is CLOSE/OPEN, and the other two is used toadjust the low frequency and high frequency to suit for the requirements of each music style.
