Lightning Boy 2020s

I transformed the original 2020 Instrument Transformer into a version with more sonic coloration. Not only is it more colorful, but it also saturates much easier, and its a little less expensive! This version achieves its greater sonic coloration and lower saturation point from a core composed mostly of steel. The steel core laminations provide a bit of a retro sonic signature. You'll probably notice a little bit of an upper HF boost, unlike the original 2020 had, but also the 2020S has a more colorful mid-range. The 2020S is a 1:1 transformer with very low insertion loss, much like its predecessor. The applications for the 2020S are the same as for the original 2020 Instrument Transformer. Its designed to be used with electric musical instruments and specifically to be placed between FX pedals to give your pedals more of a vintage-studio-gear sound.
