Here is a beautiful C. 1936 Gibson made archtop. It is essentially a Recording King Model 1124 with a Old Kraftsman branding. Please refer to the pictures to find the factory order number stamped on the inside of this guitar that corresponds to Gibsons order numbers for 1936.
This guitar is a beautiful archtop, with a solid Spruce top and stunning flame maple back and sides. Lots of pick marks on the top of body from years of being played; several scratches and shows lots of use. Hazing and checking is present in the original finish. This particular example has bracing on the back and top.
This is a 16" wide top. Also, the guitar does not have an adjustable truss rod. The neck is straight, but has some slight relief which I think is optimal. The neck is a pretty hard V shape and is approx 1.050" thick at the first fret. The pickguard seems to be a replacement, and the left f-hole appears to have a small crack.Comes with a modern Gator Hard Case for safe storage and transport. No trades on this one, thanks for looking.
