Here we have a very fine VERY clean Takoma mandolin model M-1.  It comes from a large estate of mint and near mint instruments from a dear late customer friend of mine.   She took very much care and pride in her instruments and gear.
That being said this mandolin looks new. There are only a few very light hard to see surface dings on the top and 2 dings on the binding at the top of the body.  Hard to notice from a short distance.  No scratching on pickguard and the rest of the instrument is like new.  No fret wear.
It plays and sounds fantastic and has fresh strings.
Comes with the pictured Takoma gig bag.  Gorgeous and made in Canada.

Instrument weighs 2 lbs. 5 oz.
Shipping weight is 8 lbs.
Shipping box is 34x20x8"

Still plenty of time to get there by th 24th. of December
up to around the date 12-20-21

Excellent condition - very clean overall.

Neck: Mahogany neck with 16" radius ebony fingerboard & mother of pearl dot inlays. Medium jumbo. Open-back strip tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 1/8" nut width; 14" scale length.

Body: Solid spruce top with offset soundhole & clear pickguard. The soundhole is placed in a low vibration area. This way the hole does not hinder sound & the area that would normally be just a vent in the top is now contributing to the tone & volume of the mandolin. The one piece solid steel tailpiece is sturdy, simple & makes it very easy to change strings. Solid ebony bridge & black hardware. Solid mahogany back & sides.

2 summers ago we sold 35 pieces to the movie set of Bill & Teds Most Excellent Adventure 'Face the Music'! with Keanu Reeves.
Lot's of guitars, amplifiers, rack gear, they wanted a lot of stuff with LOTS of KNOBS!!

We just landed another movie bit in a film called 'Miracle in Detroit'
starring Smokey Robinson. Look for the scene with our shop 'our 10 minutes of fame' in that movie now showing on the Lifetime channel all the way through until Christmas day the 25th!
The scene with our shop takes place in the first 15 minutes of the movie!
