This is the famous Esteban American Legacy electric-acoustic guitar with an onboard OPUS-III pickup/preamp sys.
This guitar might become a collectible, because hero Esteban unwillingly divided his audience in lovers and not so much lovers. (See the trivia…)

According to online info, the guitar was manufactured in 2007, during the peak of the Esteban Hype.

It’s in excellent condition and features a NT top, dark tobacco sides, back and neck; beautiful pearl bindings and rosette, chrome machines, a headstock binding, and the famous Esteban logo, which often was misread “Efesan” - for the special amusement of guitar players from Turkey.

The AL-100 features an OPUS-III, which works well. The EQ is simple and user friendly (treble, mid, bass). I normally play active clean over the Mustang III, but sometimes also “Rock like a Hurricane”.

Solely acoustic, the guitar sounds quite nice with a slight dominance on the mid’s and trebles. The saddle is compensated and slightly shimmed.
We installed new Martin lights.

As you can see on the pictures, there are some very few scratches or scuff marks, but hardly noticeable. The plastic washer on the G-string was cracked and is missing.

The AL comes with the original good quality case, which is mint inside, but has some wear and scratch marks on the outside top portion.

We’ll loosen the strings before shipping, as usual, and the 9V battery will be removed.

Ok, here’s some trivia:
Stephen “Esteban” Paul is actually from Pittsburgh PA, his biggest influencer was Andres Segovia (Flamenco). Bad accident at the age of 32. Then 10 years of Reha and staying away from the public. Then, around 2006 teamed up with HSN, landed big commercial success, the “Esteban Guitar” could be found in every American living room. Almost.

There has been a big hype around this guy, and there are hilarious comments on the internet. On the guy who looked like Zorro and his 3000 $ guitar that would cost you only 250 if you called within the next 5 minutes.

Here’s my fave: “the guitar plays horrible, the action is higher than the PG&E power lines in front of my house…”

Apparently I got lucky with this one. So can YOU, if you press the “buy it” button already.

Please view our disclosures as well:

Dear friends and music lovers. 🤘
Thank you for checking our store. Here at Hogan’s Guitars we sell privately owned used instruments. We do not furnish any kind of warranty or guarantees, however, we will try our best to describe the listed instruments as accurately as possible.
The pictures are always current and shall give you a general and honest idea of the condition of the instrument. If there are known damages or repairs, we will state them. We will include information such as “new strings, new tuners” etc, which is helpful if you set up your instrument after having received it. Also, in the rare case that we offer a Left-Handed guitar, we will state it.
All of our instruments have been cleaned, as well as the cases - if they come with one.

Shipping: the rates may be higher than the commercial guitar shop rates, especially if we ship heavy gear from coast to coast. But we will definitely not overcharge you. That’s a promise.
We will always loosen the strings (!!!) and have your instrument securely wrapped.

Remember, all of our sales are final, without warranty on the instrument or its parts or for any unknown or undisclosed damage. So feel free to ask questions! We’ll respond asap.
Again, thank you for shopping at Hogan’s; and make sure to FOLLOW US 🤘🤘🤘
