About This Listing
1930's Marwin No.1 / Harmony Archtop. Made by Harmony for the Tonk Bro's Music Co.in Chicago. These pre-war archtops can be real lookers: art deco headstock and zipper purfling edging. Solid spruce pressed top and solid birch sides and back. Has great volume and plays very smoothly up and down the neck. When I bought it it already had a neck reset. I took it to a local luthier and had it totally restored: new frets, a few cracks cleated, new bone nut, endpin pick up installed and new tuning gears. Sounds great and needs nothing. Old time blues, jazz, swing or slide. You won't be disappointed. No case but will package appropriately.
