It features a hand-selected, deluxe AA solid-spruce top with scalloped bracing, and Ovation's Contour Bowl composite body, which maximizes acoustic output and is ergonomically designed for playing comfort in any position. Ovation's pioneering multi-soundhole design enhances string vibration and sustain by improving soundboard efficiency. The guitar's upper-bout soundholes are inlaid with exotic hardwoods, and the cutaway offers full access to the satin finished, 5 piece mahogany/maple neck. The Standard Elite's Op-Pro preamp and OCP-1K pickup produce uncompromising plugged-in performance.

The Op-Pro pickup was designed in collaboration with jazz guitarist Al Di Meola and acoustic rocker Melissa Etheridge. It combines state-of-the-art audio quality with exclusive features designed to meet the needs of professional musicians. The easy-to-operate unit offers 3-band EQ, a preset tone enhancement circuit, a battery status light, and a chromatic tuner. The Op-Pro will please even the most discriminating player.

FAQ, frequently asked questions

Why are instruments sent to a refurbisher?  The instrument could be a discontinued model, have a finish imperfection, or need a minor repair.

Who refurbishes your instruments?  All of my instruments come from the largest and best refurbisher in the country, where any issue found is corrected by a factory trained and authorized luthier.

Does a refurbished instrument have the manufacturer warranty?  No, any instrument sent to a refurbisher, regardless of the reason it was sent there, no longer carries the manufacturer warranty.

Will I need to set up my instrument when I receive it?  All of my instruments have been set-up before shipping, so most are ready to play out of the box.  However some instruments may need a minor adjustment after shipping due to changes in temperature, humidity, and  getting bumped around during shipping.

What identifies an instrument as being refurbished?  All refurbished instruments have a small used stamp on the back of the head stock and are issued a new serial number.  This is to prevent an unethical dealer from concealing the fact that the instrument was sent to a refurbisher.
