BROUGHT BACK FROM THE DEAD! This 1930's mandolin was almost history, but found new life. The body, neck, fretboard, frets are original from a unknown brand mandolin from somewhere in the 1930's. Damage was repaired, new bracing and a sound post was added. The old finished was removed, it was refinished with an oil finish (no lacquer or varnish). Body length is 24". New, modern pieces were added include: chrome tuners, a bone nut, a padauk bridge, chrome tailpiece with strap button, rubber grommets. Not a restoration to original 1930 standards, but it is very playable and the original wood body still produces that sound of a 1930's mandolin. Comes with a canvas soft case.
