The present HORNET in Ice Blue is characterized by intense aging, which on the one hand should appear authentic and on the other hand should enable optimal vibrations for the body. The colors "Ice Blue over Brown" represent a repainted guitar, whereby the brown tone or the wood comes out due to the heavy wear on the arm shaping and edges. The real blue tone is only partially visible, because the yellowed blue tone gives the color a green cast. The back of the neck is also marked by extreme use.
The retro look is underlined by the cream celluloid pickguard, "Big Boy" MXR potentiometer knobs with aluminum dials and aged metal parts.
Not only should the look be "cool", the inner values must also be right. For the body wood we decided on Korina and European mountain maple for the neck.
The solid hardware, such as the Callaham hardtail bridge with brass saddles, jumbo frets by Ferdinand Wagner and nut in bone ensure the best sound transmission. The result is an instrument with excellent vibration behavior that reproduces a harmoniously resonant tone.
The pickups were supplied by Wolfgang Damm from AmberPickups. To ensure that the look is right, the O-Tone '59 humbuckers have also gone through an aging process. Both pickups are not waxed and thus ensure the best transparency. The bridge comes in a zebra look and delivers a strong overwound vintage tone and can come up with a singing and well-dosed mid-range tone. The neck pickup embodies the warm singing sound of the 50s.
Solid electronics such as CTS pots, toggle switche, vintage fabric cables and orange drop capacitors ensure optimal regulation and electric flow.
A handcrafted guitar with awesome sounding pickups, great sound quality and an individual vintage look.
The guitar is brand new. The scratches and abrasions on the paint and dents in the wood are intentional and part of the look.
