Ultra-Rare Color FIVE ALARM RED !!!
This is a PROJECT GUITAR.
For sale is the body and neck ONLY.
The edge trem, pickups and hardware in the picture will NOT be included.
They're just there to illustrate what the guitar might look like when built.
The body is an 88 540P, fully wired. You just need to drop in pickups and a trem.
The neck is an Ibanez Wizard neck from a 540S of the same time period but fits perfectly and has the tiny dots.
Yes this is for sure Five Alarm Red. I've owned several Five Alarm Red guitars and this one is totally the same color. It is somewhere between neon orange and neon red with a dash of neon pink. It is a very vibrant and flourescent color.
Joe Satriani played a 540P (albeit an 87 not an 88) in the video for "Satch Boogie". It has a significantly smaller body than an RG or JEM, so its great if you're not a big person.
Besides the "Satch Boogie" video, Joe Satriani can also be seen playing an Ibanez 540P on the covers of his early "Dreaming #11" and "Not of This Earth" albums. This was the unofficial Joe Satriani model back in the early days.
This color (Five Alarm Red) is super rare and hard to find on any Ibanez guitar.
