This listing is for a Yamaha RBX4 A2 bass guitar. The bass is in excellent condition. Everything works just as it should, including the light-up volume pots. Cosmetically, there are a couple of small nicks on the bass and some light scratching. But as you can see from the pics, the bass looks very good. The top of the bass is White and the back is called Aircraft Gray, although to my eye, it has a lot of muted green pigment in it.
I don’t have a gig bag for this bass, but I am willing to include a used hard case for a really low price (say $20). The hard case will also increase the shipping cost a little, but I don’t know by what amount . . . I would guess $10 or $15, but again, I’m not sure.
The bass is very light, weighing in at around 7 lbs, and it actually feels lighter than that. Yamaha pioneered new technology which they have named Alternative Internal Resonance (A.I.R.) which combines lightweight and resonant softwoods sandwiched between harder tonewoods creating an instrument loaded with sustain and tone while maintaining an ultra lightweight construction.
And this bass isn’t just light, cool looking and easy to play . . . it has wonderful tone. But don’t take my word for it . . . check out the video by Ed Friedland, the Bass Whisperer.

Revolutionary Super-Light 4-String Bass
The next revolution in evolution. The conventional wisdom in building electric guitars has long been that the more uniform and heavy the material, the better the sound. Yamaha has shattered this concept with an advanced technology called Alternative Internal Resonance, or A.I.R. for short. A.I.R. combines lightweight and resonant softwoods sandwiched between harder tonewoods creating an instrument loaded with sustain and tone while maintaining an ultra lightweight construction. Already proven in the RGX line,Yamaha now offers this sustain and tone in the RBX line with the RBX4 A2.

THE BOTTOM LINE
Most of the Yamaha RBX4 A2 basses that you’ll see on eBay or other sites, are being sold by foreign seller. I am a US seller with a proven track record.
As far as the bass goes, it is a unique and cool looking bass which has surprisingly good tone. Yamaha doesn’t make these basses any more so there aren’t many of these basses floating around in the pre-owned market.
