Larrivee Custom 00-40-FW Flamed Austrian Walnut with Moonwood Top

As many of you know, Jean Larrivee is always searching for unique woods for his customers - something that is rarely done by any other builder. He has logged millions of miles chasing down that special log that would yield that special wood. Well, he has hit it again!

His unique find is highly flamed Austrian Walnut and is the finest Jean has ever found! Quantity of guitars built from this wood is limited and this is a one-shot log - 5 years in the making to even buy it!  The owner did not want to sell!  This guitar also features an Austrian Moonwood Spruce Top

The 40 Series features "Scalloped Parabolic Hybrid" bracing system design.

Based on our Larrivee’s and true "X-Brace" design, Jean blended a non-symmetrical scalloped lateral cross-bracing pattern. This means maximum strength using the least amount of material. It's a build that allows even further vibration of the soundboard, while still offering a controlled bass response. The 40 Series are built in America using all solid wood, like all Larrivée's, and feature brand new upgrades like bone bridge pins, nut and saddle, diamond fingerboard dots and 18:1 open back tuners.
