Established in 1910, Wendl & Lung pianos have had a longstanding reputation for great musical quality and a full, expansive sound quality. From 1910 to 1984, Wendl & Lung manufactured their pianos out of Vienna, Austria. In 2004, they entered into collaboration with Hailun (A Family Piano Co. favorite!) and started producing out of Ningbo, China. 

This Wendl & Lung Model 122 is a powerful, musically excellent upright piano that would make a fantastic musical companion to any burgeoning piano student, hobbyist, or professional musician! The Model 122 was designed by Hailun with assistance from Wendl & Lung as a high performance professional upright piano comparable to a Yamaha U1, albeit with a more European sound profile and action feel. 

The tone of this piano is decidedly warm with a natural, authentic glow to the sound. The bass range on this piano is deeply resonant and defined. At a full 48" tall, this piano possesses a similar bass strength to a typical baby grand piano. The mid range is highly present and lyrical in a gentle, dolce nature - perfect for bringing out intricate melodies! The upper range sparkles beautifully with a great amount of tonal life that surpasses expectations for any upright piano! 
This piano has highly consistent moderately lightweight keys with an inviting, comfortable texturing that provides a great sense of grip and control. Highly perceptive to small musical details and with an energetic action feel, this is a piano that can satisfy the needs of advanced players!

100% Trade-up - Choose the right piano for now, and trade-up to the perfect piano later with minimal cost! This applies to ALL of Family Piano's acoustic pianos! To qualify for 100% Trade-Up, your second piano needs to be twice the first price you paid (if less, we'll pro-rate) and take place within twice the warranty period. For example, if you bought a piano for $2,000 with a 5-year warranty, all $2,000 applies to your next purchase of $4,000 or more within a 10 year period. The only other costs for trade-ups are modest moving fees and the sales tax on the price difference between the two pianos. We work exclusively with the well-regarded, professional piano-moving services from Kevin’s Piano Movers locally, and other dedicated pros for long-distance moves. You can trust us to handle all your needs seamlessly!

FREE Group Beginning Piano Classes – FREE tuition for 4 with every piano rented or purchased. Small classes, one hour per week, usually 6-7 pm, with semesters starting every January, March, June, and September. Intended for beginning (or rusty) teens and adults, but younger children can also enroll provided they are engaged and accompanied by an adult. We also offer these classes online/video for your convenience.

FREE & Discounted In-Home Tunings – Family Piano's expert technicians tune the piano right before it goes out, so most customers wait 2-5 months until redeeming their free in-home tuning. Rental pianos are tuned a year after delivery, and each year as part of your rent, if in our service area. Afterwards, we will take $10 off each regular tuning that we do for you, as long as you own the piano in our large service area.
