This guitar is light and resonant.

They built these like a 335 with an arched laminate maple top, rather than a thick maple cap.

They say you can tell a good electric guitar by the way it sounds unplugged. This is one of those. It sounds great unplugged. Very loud and resonant with lots of sustain.

Sounds even better through a good tube amp.
Pickups are very good.
Everything functions as it should.
Action is low. No fret buzz.
Frets have plenty of life left.
No signs of damage or repairs.
It does have signs of wear commensurate with a 45 year old guitar. See photos.

Message from the owner:  Hello from Del Mar Lutherie. We are a small shop along the coast in San Diego County. We're located in the "Land of Fender" within 70 miles of Fender USA and about 30 miles from Fender Mexico. Taylor Guitars' two factories in USA and Mexico are within 30 minutes from us. We have toured all of these facilities many times and learned a lot from these industry leaders.  

We do things on a much smaller scale, but we do build custom guitars and do mods and setups.   We also buy, sell and trade vintage and used instruments. Our owner is a guitar enthusiast, wood worker and professional designer and engineer.  

Setups - on used gear, we typically fix issues with older guitars before they go out. This would include things like checking for playability and sound and making minor adjustments like neck relief, action and intonation, so that the guitar is playing and sounding good. We typically set up an electric guitar with 9-42 or 10-46 strings and an acoustic guitar with 12-56 strings. Then we adjust for good neck relief and low action without fret buzz.   Keep in mind that setups are personal and guitars are made of wood that expands and contracts with changes in temperature and humidity. You may want to make minor adjustments to your liking once your guitar arrives. If you want us to do a more personal and detailed setup we can do that for you. We typically charge between $50 and $60 for this service depending on the guitar and the customer's needs.  

Guitar cases - most of our guitars do not include a case or bag, but we often have one in stock that will fit your guitar. If you would like to add a gig bag or case, let us know. We can provide you with a good quality bag or case at a reasonable cost and will ship your new guitar in your new case to better protect you guitar. Typically the bag or case will ship with the guitar for no extra cost.  

Shipping - the price shown includes careful packing, shipping via UPS and insurance. Shipping rates are determined by box size and insurance by item value. We are a Reverb quick shipper and do our best to get your new instrument to UPS as quickly as possible.

We do our best to accurately photo and describe the instruments we sell.
