ESP VH-250 - Made in Japan (Late 1980's - Early 1990's)
Limited release model called the ESP VH-250, which was ESP's tribute model to the EVH Kramer 5150 Baretta. ESP's luthiers make some of the best guitars of any other brand; this 5150 model is no exception. Released only in Japan beginning in 1989 with limited production ending at some point in the 1990's with subtle changes from year to year. As many Kramer fans likely know, Kramer had a couple of different builders supply their guitar necks in the early 80's after the introduction of the Baretta. Many of these necks were made by ESP and around 86/87, ESP was supplying both bodies and necks for essentially all USA Kramer guitars that were ultimately assembled in New Jersey. A great deal of Kramer guitar knowledge can be found on vintagekramer.com. Nonetheless, an ESP made tribute to the famous 5150 Kramer Baretta guitar is definitely levels above the current replica model made by Fender.
This collectible guitar is in fantastic shape, sounds phenomenal (an absolute joy to play), and includes the trem bar as well as the original leather ESP vintage soft case with shoulder strap.
