This Old Kraftsman guitar is clean for it's age. These were made by Kay for the Spiegel catalog in the late 50's and early 60's. There are no cracks visible anywhere on this guitar. It has it's share of normal wear as seen in the photos. There has been a repair made on the back of the guitar and the neck has been re-glued. Action is high. The button on the neck is not original. Someone has cut two extra slots in the nut. (Not sure what was going on there.) The original pick guard is missing, so there are two small holes to screw the brackets on. There is some fret sprout. At some time, someone drew a male and female symbol on the face of the guitar in pen. The ink is gone, but the impression is still there. I cleaned it and put on a new set of Martin strings. This will need some TLC from someone with luthier skills.
