Henri(PARIS) Selmer K-MODIFIED LIGHTWEIGHT 24B marked. Bb Professional model Trumpet; Made in France; Ca 1959-62. Serial# 27700. The Trumpet measures 19"l. with a 4 3/4" Bell. Weight without the mouthpiece is 2 lbs. 6.8 ozs. Medium/Large bore.458" measured inside the second valve slide itself. The Trumpet is marked on the mouthpiece receiver K-MODIFIED LIGHTWEIGHT with 24B marked underside. Solid Nickel lead pipe. The valve pistons are in SUPERB condition(plating) providing excellent compression& fast action. The valves have been aligned. The pistons are numbered 4,5,6. valve housing is numbered 4,5,6. Top& bottom valve caps are numbered 4,5,6. Beautiful Mother of Pearl concave capped valve buttons. The Trumpet is equipped with a 1st. valve slide trigger for auto tuning & 3rd. fixed push ring. Included with the Trumpet is KUG trim kit that has been customized with different weighted bottom caps for perfect horn balance and sound. The K-MODIFIED model trumpet was a design idea by World Renowned Professional player Keith Ecker a half-century ago. In part for a French made horn to have a modified mouthpiece receiver to accept a widely used Bach mouthpiece. This Trumpet has been restored to excellent condition. Old lacquer stripped. Ultrasonically cleaned, polished, prepped, then lacquered and brushed finish applied. New felts, water seals, corks and springs. Please note small imperfection on bell reinforcing ring, as seen in picture # 3.
