This Guild Starfire was made in the USA. The serial number dates it to 1961, however most Guild references suggest that Guild did not use mini humbuckers until 1963. The pickup cavioties look original, as does all the wiring, so we are not sure the exact date of manufacture on this one. This is an early starfire and still has the open book headstock. The guitar is used and shows heavy wear all over, dings and dents, finish checking etc... The seams of the headstock have been reglued, although nothing has ever been broken. The action is comfortable but the bridge is all the way down which is typical for vintage Guilds. The guitar has been pro setup and needs nothing. It comes with the original case.
