Washburn M-10 (M-1) 2002 Gloss Black

RARE.... Is an understatement. Serial number : 0212002... Yeah, 2002 #2 of only 5

Let's begin this with the reality that this bass and it's story...

Washburn's M10 line of basses, you'll see the M10 (Jazz style) M12 (PJ Style) you know why you never see the M-1 ? Because only 5 were ever made in existence... 2 of which I've had the honor of owning, the other 3... You guessed it... The man of Steele himself used exclusively longer than any other stage played bass he ever used in his entire career besides his spoiler, and if that's not making a statement of quality than I guess idk what does ?

This bass is only #2 of the very limited run of 5. And all 5 produced were prototypes, ranging from body configuration to neck configuration. And these were washburn attempt to make the M10 bass to sound like a Musicman bass, unfortunately washburn abandoned the entire project shortly after these...

So that being said, this bass has tons of punch, clarity, sustain, and beautiful harmonics that a normal Musicman can't match, (that I've noticed) aside from the dings scratches etc etc, from all of the stage use and abuse, this bass holds a very peculiar story behind it's existence. Bass specs include :

Body Material : Kentucky Rock Maple.
Neck Material : Quartersawn Rock Maple.
Fretboard : Rosewood (freshly polished)
Frets : (jumbo 24)
Bridge : Original Leo Quan Badass 1
Pickup : Custom wound Seymour Duncan SMB 4D.
Controls : Master Volume, Killswitch.
Tuners : Grover

Volume pot and Killswitch are not original, the master volume is custom made 500k with an audio transformer and gain trim.
If your a type o fan, you definitely will not be disappointed from the sound this thing puts out.... Original LED burned out, so I replaced it with a tesi Killswitch led. Green for tribute to the greenman.
