Jimi Hendrix owned and played 1964 Fender Sunburst Stratocaster.
This guitar was given to Jimi's younger brother Leon Hendrix while
in Seattle to visit and play , The Seattle Center Coliseum, September 6,1968.
As documented in his book, "A Brother's Story" Page 134/135.
"I'm going to give you a present. I want you to have a guitar", he told
me reaching down on the bed. Only,he didn't grab the new white Stratocaster,
he pulled a different, scuffed-up black case over towards us and opened it. I walked around the bed and saw a sunburst Fender Stratocaster inside. I was
thankful for the gift but I had my heart set on the polished new white one.
"Thanks Buster. But um what about the white guitar there?" I asked with a smile. Jimi laughed. "No way, you don't even know how to play, man. You can start off on this one here and work your way up. It's a real nice '64 Fender".
This guitar will come with a letter of provenance C.o.a. and a meeting with
Leon Hendrix. I have sold many of Jimi's guitars and memorabilia, including Jimi's psychedelic Gibson Flying V , which now resides in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
