About This Listing
A very special find: Peavey T-40 solid body electric bass guitar in the original molded hard shell case, with owner's manual and some original accessories, with the factory original pickguard overlay still present. Serial
number 0071xxxx indicates 1981 manufacture. There is virtually no discernible wear on the frets, and the instrument and case are both in excellent overall shape. The only apparent signs of handling are two light impressions on the rear of the body, highlighted in photo #11.
Professionally serviced by Equilibrium Guitars of Boston MA. All electronics
functioning as originally designed. New strings. Cosmetically superb, with small signs of having sat untouched for an unknown span of years. Please see photo #16 for service details. Case is undamaged and
completely sound, all hinges and latches present and functioning
properly, interior is very clean with virtually no visible wear.
Ships worldwide, or local pickup can be arranged. Quoted
international shipping rate is to Australia, the furthest destination
from my location in the USA. Please inquire for shipping rate to your
particular non-US address.
The package will be large,
heavy, delicate, and will be insured for full value under Reverb Safe Shipping, so shipping may be a significant expense.
The Peavey T-40 was one of the brand's first bass designs ever, and popular for its affordability and construction. Although the T-40 is heavy, it's built like a tank and can consequently take a beating. The T-40 bass sports two Toaster-style pickups and two switches, amongst other appointments, and can be found fretless in the Peavey T-40FL model.
