Redline, a division of Cumberland Acoustic, is a newer company that is turning out some great instruments right here in America, just outside on Nashville, TN.
This A-5 mandolin is no exception! It has a very low serial number (one of the first 10 made) and is dated December 22, 2014. The neck is slightly wider than most mandolins, making it a little easier to play, especially for guitar players, or pickers with larger fingers.
Red spruce top, eastern maple back and sides, 12″ radiused ebony fretboard with mother of pearl dots and .080″ frets, ebony headstock overlay, adjustable ebony bridge, adustable trussrod, bone nut. Finish is nitrocellulose lacquer, over a well-balanced brown burst, that matches the tone in beauty and craftsmanship.
This A-Style Redline mandolin is used, and has a few small dings as shown in the photos. This is reflected in the price (these typically sell in the $2200 range).
The case that is shown in the photos is also included. This instrument is a perfect match for the serious mandolinist, or a guitar player looking to branch out with a quality instrument.
