Due to the nature of this piece, this guitar is presented as is. Please read further for a full disclosure of the product's condition.

The Crestline brand was an export of Grossman Music Corporation from the Fujigen Gakki factory in Japan. The brand was most prevalent in the ‘70s, found mostly on copies of bigger brands. This is one such instrument, copying the iconic BC Rich Eagle.

Cosmetic Condition: Lots of bumps, dings, and hazing throughout. No serious blemishes apart from a finish crack around the neck joint that appears to be surface deep, perhaps from a stressed glue joint. The crack does not flex at all under finger or hand pressure. There is also chrome pitting and blemishing on the plastic parts as well.

Playing Condition and Functionality: The neck is a bit wavy and there is a slight S curve from heel dip. The frets are popping a good bit so it will need a fret dressing. The nut is oversized and sloppily set, so there is some noise from that as well as the frets and neck issues. The nut will need to be replaced, preferably custom cut. The electronics function normally, though the switches are a bit finicky. One affects the neck pickup and may be a coil tap or tone switch. Another affects the bridge pickup and seems to be a phase switch. The last switch does not seem to have any effect that I can tell. The tuners function normally, though one appears to be off-kilter on the back of the headstock (see pictures). Despite all of these issues, the guitar really does sound great and plays nicely, with a really comfortable neck shape to this player. With some upgrades, this could really be an awesome guitar.
