For your consideration is a used 1983 Gibson Heritage Series Korina Explorer electric guitar that was traded in by Joe Bonamassa last week. The body is made of Korina, the neck is made of Mahogany with a medium "D" profile. 1 5/8" wide nut, rosewood fretboard, 12" radius and dot inlays. Headstock looks to be in great shape with the original Gibson tuners. The frets are in awesome condition, with some slight wear but tons of life left. The body has some slight nicks/dings/scratches from being played over the decades. The neck is looking to be beautiful with some minor blemishes between the 6th and 11th frets, but nothing unsightly or detrimental. At some point, a Bigsby was added, but it is removable and comes with the original bridge. Two of the pots appear to have been changed, but they are also included.
The guitar plays well, it deserves to be played and played hard.
Guitar weighs in at 8 pounds, 9 ounces.
Will come with original hardshell case, which shows some signs of wear, but it faithfully protects the guitar.
Comes with Capitol Guitars COA and signed 8x10 picture of Joe Bonamassa!
