Gorgeous original unmolested Marantz 500 in excellent collectors condition. No dents, dings or scratches save for minor imperfections in the chassis finish and some minor imperfections in the face as seen in the pictures which are not noticeable unless up close.
I ran this amp infrequently for 2 years after it was traded for a 500 that Bob Hovland had hotroded over 30 years ago that was “less collectible” than this one. This was Bob’s personal unit for some years and its condition is exceptional. The unit was serviced by Bob just before it was sold to me a little over 2 years ago.
The last great Marantz solid state amp made here in California which the absolute sound declared “Magnificent” and the “best sounding amp made today” (1973).
Will be packed in an original Marantz shipping carton and double boxed.
