Marshall 9000 All Tube Preamplifier 1990

These Marshall all-tube preamps were built in England from 1989 to 1993. The serial number of this unit carries the "Y" code indicating 1990 production. This preamp is in very good condition for being at least 26 years old. In that time it has been in and out of racks a few times but shows very little rack ear screw or cabinet scratching as evidence.  Cosmetics are about as good as I have ever seen on a used 9001. The face of the unit is not dented or bent.

The power LED and all four switching indicator LEDs all light as they should. It has been tested with a foot switch and works perfectly. The original equipment Marshall foot switch is becoming a rarity; they were an optional item so there are fewer switches than amps, and many have been abused or destroyed in the last couple of decades. This footswitch has been modified by replacing the original plastic cable connectors at the switch end with a metal jack and plug. An original unmodified cable is also included in this sale.

There are LOTS of controls on the front and back of this amp. If you can't find your ideal tone(s) with this setup they may not exist! Five band equalizer is a rarity on a tube preamp. Three channel (Clean / Crunch / Lead) with effects loop controlled by front panel mixer, stereo output, and cabinet emulation switch for direct recording applications.
