This Les Paul Junior is a double stuffed oreo of classic rock majesty.  Not only did this guitar come from the personal collection of Rockford's own Rick Nielsen, but it also comes from the absolute golden era of Gibson production and origin of all Les Pauls.  Wrap-around tailpiece (replacement), classic sunburst finish, smoking P-90 pickup -- everything you want out of a LP Jr shines on this guitar in high style. 

Condition: This guitar carries a diagonal crack through the headstock which, as Rick told us, came from a drop at a gig.  The fix is very solid and the crack occurs higher on the headstock where there is less tension than if it had been right at the neck joint. Thee are replacement tuners, but the originals are included. 

Apart from the break, the guitar is in very good condition with fine checking throughout the body and normal light scratches you find on guitars of this era.  

Playability: The action and frets are tip-top, and the neck is very well faded and worn in on the back. It has a rounded '50s neck profile, though not nearly the thickest shape we've seen on '50s Gibsons.
