This is a S. S. Stewart American Princess 5 string banjo in excellent condition; serial number 18655 (on the stick and pot) (about 1897). All parts are original except the peg head tuners which are new quality straight tuners (that really work) and a new head; the fifth string peg is original. It plays and sounds great. It, of course, has the 10" head. I've always used light steel strings on it but loosened them when not in use so the neck is straight.
