Steve’s notes: Here is a truly historic item from Johnny Craviotto’s personal collection. The drum shown here is a 4x14 solid maple and as you can see from Johnny’s writing on the box, this is the first 4x14. When Johnny passed away in 2016 I inventoried all of the drums that Johnny had set aside for his family. These were items that were special to him for various reasons. In this case, it’s easy to see why he saved this drum. And, 4x14 was always Johnny’s favorite size. I will provide a certificate of authenticity for the buyer, and the drum will ship as shown, and with the box shown as well. (We could clean this up but I think it is best left in the exact condition as shown here). We will double box so that the original box remains unaltered since it is an important part of the history. All net proceeds from this sale go to Johnny’s family.
Johnny’s favorite size, his first 4x14, and of course he was the world renowned master of the solid wood shell drum. Doesn’t get much rarer.
